Growers have the opportunity to participate in both the National Corn Growers Association’s Corn Yield Contest and the Wisconsin Soybean Association’s Soybean Yield Contest for the 2026 season. Below are important contest details, deadlines, and entry requirements to keep in mind when submitting entries.

National Corn Growers Association


The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Corn Yield Contest recognizes top-performing corn growers across the country and provides an opportunity to compare management practices and hybrid performance at both the state and national level.


Eligibility & Entry Requirements

  • All contest entries must be submitted online.
  • Entry form is compatible with tablets and desktop computers.
  • Review the NCGA Rule Book before submitting.


Important Dates to Remember

  • June 30, 2026 — Early Discount Entry Deadline
  • August 12, 2026 — Final Entry Deadline
  • August 13–November 30, 2026 — Harvest Entry Submission Period
  • November 30, 2026 — Harvest Report Deadline
  • December 15, 2026 — Contest Results Announced

Soybean Yield Contest

Wisconsin Soybean Association


Soybean growers looking to benchmark their management practices and showcase top-end yield potential should consider entering the 2026 Wisconsin Soybean Association Soybean Yield Contest. The contest is designed to highlight innovative production practices and recognize growers who are pushing soybean yields higher across Wisconsin.


Eligibility & Entry Requirements

  • Contest fields must be located in Wisconsin.
  • Entries must consist of at least 5 contiguous acres of a single soybean variety.
  • The harvested contest area must be a minimum of 3 acres.
  • Any soybean production system is eligible to enter.


Important Dates to Remember

  • August 31, 2026 — Entry Deadline
  • December 1, 2026 — Harvest Forms Due
