About the role

Red Cedar Ag is looking for motivated Spring and Fall Interns who want hands-on experience in agriculture.


This opportunity is for someone who enjoys working outdoors, asking questions, and learning by doing. You’ll work alongside our team, support seasonal operations, and gain a better understanding of how we serve growers throughout the year.


Responsibilities will vary by season and may include agronomy fieldwork, irrigation support, parts organization, and daily operations. Whether you’re exploring a career in agriculture or building on what you’re learning in school, you’ll have opportunities to develop practical skills and contribute to the team.


What you will do

  • Assist our team with daily operations and seasonal projects
  • Support field scouting, soil sampling, and field-data collection
  • Join staff on customer visits and learn about growers’ needs
  • Help organize parts, count inventory, and prepare orders
  • Assist experienced staff with irrigation-related tasks
  • Keep clear notes and accurate records
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas
  • Follow safety procedures and complete training before using equipment


In the spring, work may include planting-season support, early crop observations, and irrigation startup assistance.


In the fall, work may include soil sampling, irrigation shutdown assistance, and preparation for the next season.


What you bring

  • Interest in agriculture and a willingness to learn
  • Dependability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to follow directions and ask questions
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer and record keeping skills
  • Enrollment in an agricultural or related program is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
